The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions involving young women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
